What are Notifications?

Announcements about this event may be posted here.

If you enable notifications on your phone and a new announcement is posted, then your phone will alert you.

Installing MyDogEntry on Your Phone

MyDogEntry must be installed on your phone in order to enable notifications.

MyDogEntry is a website and not an app, so you won't find it in the Apple App Store nor in the Google Play Store. You can, however, "install" MyDogEntry on your phone, which adds an MDE icon to your home screen so it looks like an app.

When you first visit MyDogEntry your phone may offer to install MDE. Just allow the installation and an MDE icon should appear on your home screen.

If your phone doesn't offer to install MDE, you can request that it be installed. The exact prodecure depends on what Internet browser you are using on your phone:

  • Google Chrome on Android – go to MyDogEntry, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and select "Add to Home Screen".
  • Safari on iOS – go to MyDogEntry, click the share icon at the bottom of the screen, and select "Add to Home Screen".
  • Samsung Internet on Android – go to MyDogEntry, click the download icon in the upper right corner, and click "Add".

In order to enable notifications, you will have to adjust your phone settings to allow notifications from MyDogEntry.

The exact procedure will vary depending on your phone. Go into "Settings" and "Apps". Click on MDE. Click "Notifications" and "Show Notifications".
